Care that matches the craft.
Short routines for the materials commonly selected through Handles & More — quartz, stainless, PVD, heavy brass and soft-close hardware. Save this page; print it; tape it inside your cabinet door.
Quartz Granite
Cast composite. Hand-warm, hygienic and stain-resistant by design. Daily care is intentionally minimal.
- Daily
- Wipe down with a soft cloth and warm soapy water. Dry with the same cloth.
- Weekly
- Use a non-abrasive cream cleaner — Cif or Vim Bar — for deeper clean. Rinse thoroughly.
- Avoid
- Steel wool, bleach in concentration, and acidic descalers.
- Long-term
- Once every six months, run a 50/50 white-vinegar + water rinse to remove water-line build-up.
Stainless Steel · Satin
SS304 with a brushed satin finish. The finish hides waterspots; daily wipe-downs keep it looking new.
- Daily
- Microfibre wipe along the grain. Avoid circular scrubbing — it dulls the satin.
- Weekly
- Mild stainless cleaner (Pitambari, Brasso Stainless). Always wipe along the grain.
- Avoid
- Chlorine bleach, hydrochloric acid, and steel wool — they corrode the chromium-oxide layer.
- Tip
- A drop of olive oil rubbed in once a month will restore the warm satin sheen.
PVD Finishes (Gold · Rose Gold · Black · Copper Matte)
Physical-Vapour-Deposited coatings. Harder than chrome and resistant to fingerprints, but they reward gentleness.
- Daily
- Wipe with a damp soft cloth. No detergent needed for daily use.
- Weekly
- Mild dish soap, soft cloth. Avoid scrubbing pads.
- Avoid
- Abrasive cleaners, ammonia, and any cleaner labelled "for chrome" — too harsh for PVD.
Heavy Brass Faucetry
Polished or PVD over solid brass. The cartridge inside is rated for half a million cycles.
- Daily
- Wipe with a soft cloth after the last use of the day to prevent water-spotting.
- Quarterly
- Unscrew the aerator at the spout, soak in white vinegar for 30 minutes, rinse, refit.
- Avoid
- Toilet-bowl cleaners and any product containing hydrochloric or sulphuric acid.
- Service
- Cartridges are field-replaceable. Email our service team if flow drops.
Soft-close Hardware
Tested to 80,000 cycles. The mechanism is sealed; almost no maintenance is required.
- Quarterly
- Wipe runners with a dry cloth. Do not lubricate — the mechanism is self-greased.
- Annual
- Check that drawers close softly. If they slam, call service for a free re-tension.
- Avoid
- WD-40 or any solvent — it strips the factory grease.
